I am not sure that I understand you right, but may be the problem is in

property settings.

Right click DBRichViewEdit in Delphi, choose "Settings" in the context menu,

make sure that "Allow adding styles dynamically" is set.

Also set AutoDeleteUnusedStyles property = True.
