Import HTML then format content

I have gone through the demo provided on HTMLImporter.

After calling loadhtml, rve.format is called. Without this format the

content will not be loaded to rve. What if I have some content in the rve,

then when I try to insert a html, I want the HTML content to be inserted

while keeping my existing content. Because if I run rve.Format, the existing

content will be gone. Any idea?
