Making items non-selectable

Hi,

I've got a project where i'm using a TRichViewEdit as an html editor basically,

and I also have some custom tags that are added to the text for various functions.

  I'm trying to figure out how I can make the custom tags non-selectable

in the richview, so the user cannot change the style or delete these tags

or part of these tags.  Can I do that on an item by item basis?
