Some lack of understanding

Hi again. Like I said in a previous message I am using the richview in an

applcation to display data. I have most of it going but a few small things

have showed up and I am mostly sure it is my misunderstanding that is to

blame

Basically I have inserted several fieldcodes like 000.pct and this gets

found as per the mailmerge example and the appropiare string is put in it's

place. I am using a modified RVactions editor to create my template..

1. I have found that if I do this in a table cell it seems to work ok. If

however I insert one outside of a cell, it ends up getting processed twice.

one insertion but the variable for the 000.pct (or whatever I am using )

comes up twice.

2. As in the above editor I added a fieldcode. I then realised it was wrong

and highlighted it like in a word editor and deleted it. However when I

replace it, it doesn't behave corretly and I cannot seem to delete it

completely.... How do I go about this? Lets say I open an existing template

and want to select various bits and pieces to change. Is this possible?

Especially the already inserted fieldname/code?

3. As per my last message which I got help for, I insert a HTML link. My

replace filedname section now leaves the URL link alone. However when I try

and process a click on the link, it doesn't return any URL. I have no idea

if it isn't being inserted corretly or if it isn't being read correctly? Any

ideas on testing this to find a mistake?

4. And lastly. Using the same editor I have made the backround a JPG. My

understanding was that the image was saved in the rvf file however when I

move the rvf file to another computer and load it up with my application, no

error but no background. I need a point in the right direction for this

one.... Should I be sending the file with the rvf file.
