Hi,

I try to help.

Method 1.

If you are using Delphi 6, remove the RV component first. Terminate Delphi.

Go to folder 'Program Files\Borland\Delphi6\Projecfts\Bpl' and remove any of

the RV package. Then reinstall the newer version of RV. It should work 100%.

But it should not be the best way.

Method 2.

The RV component should be placed in a very special folder. Each time you

have an upgraded version, extract the files to that same folder. (It seems

Delphi refers to the Bpl folder and knows where the RV path is, so other

folder name would not help unless you delete all the RV build within the Bpl

folder.) You can remove the old files elsewhere. Compile the package and

rebuild them. The rebuild is the most important part. You can load your own

source code then under menu Project, build your work. The RV component will

automatically be rebuilt. I guess its the same with Delphi 7 and 8.

Of course I have tried it :)
