It's noty possible to supress Format, but it's possible to suppress

repainting.

SendMessage(rv.Handle, WM_SETREDRAW, 0, 0);

<changes>

SendMessage(rv.Handle, WM_SETREDRAW, 1, 0);

rv.Invalidate;

But I recommend to use methods introduced in RichView instead, if possible.
