Very simple example:

var

  ItemNo, Offs: Integer;

begin

  ItemNo := DBRichViewEdit1.CurItemNo;

  Table1.Post;

  Offs := DBRichViewEdit1.GetOffsBeforeItem(ItemNo);

  DBRichViewEdit1.SetSelectionBounds(ItemNo, Offs, ItemNo, Offs);

end;
