copying columns

Hello,

If I select a column in a table, and copy it to the clipboard, and then

paste it into word, it pastes the entire table into word.

This happens whether I select the column all at once (waiting for the

cursor to change to a down arrow) or select all the cells from inside.

Is there a way to get the table to behave like word, where if you

select a column, and copy it to the clipboard, you can paste it in

another column. In fact, Word defaults to pasting the values in the

different rows, and if you want to paste the column in a single cell as

a table, you have to choose "paste as table".

I know its a bit of a nitpicky point, but my users enter values in

columns in a table. It would be cool if they could select the column

and paste into excel or something. If a whole column is selected, it

just has to be copied to the clipboard as tab delimited text. Is there

a way to test if a while column is selected, as opposed to just

individual cells in the column?
