Thanks!

I made this change, and now it works much better!

I do have one issue though: I copied the following text from Word:

<<

TAX INVOICE - Contract Software Development

Lauchlan Mackinnon (ABN: 60 894 696 762)

Mail: <Mail address removed>

Mobile <Mobile removed> Email <Email address removed>

Reference: 42

Terms: 7 Days Net

>>

(if the formatting doesn't come through,

the top line was heading 1 with Arial 16 Bold,

the second line was heading 2 with Arial Bold 14 italic,

then I had selected the next two lines and did Format | Borders and Shading

and put a 1 1/2 point line underneath it,

and the next line had a pattern of 10% grey applied to the line.)

The problem is that the two lines that were selected and had a line put

underneath it come through with a 1 1/2 point line under _both_ lines of

text instead of just  under the bottom one.

Another error in the formatting after pasting into the RichView edit is that

text like

<<

To:                   <Company name>

<Street address 1>

<Street address 2>

<ABN>

>>

(the formatting is that each of these lines is tabbed once. The first line

has "To:" before the tab.

where everything except the "To:" is tabbed once pastes with the company

name indented/tabbed differently to the other lines.

Are these errors in TRichView that are likely to be fixed in a future

version, or is this something to do with Word's .doc format or some other MS

issue? I suspect the latter, because WPTools makes it just one 1 1/2 point

line under the two lines, as in the original Word document and copies the

"To:" lines with the same indentation  . . .

I guess this second problem is the one you mentioned

<<

but some RTF documents may be aligned wrong if pasted

Are the new Tab features you talked about in the forthcoming version likely

to bear on this issue?

I meant using the program EndNote, www.endnote.com, not using EndNote

features of Word. I am concerned with the markers EndNote places in the

document rather than the actual EndNotes themselves. Actually, to be honest,

I think I prefer the way TRichView does this already, as there is no point

in the hidden markers becoming part of the text, particularly as they server

no functional role as the EndNote Word plugin presumably would not work

within TRichView.

Thanks!
