1) You can protect paragraph by including rvpaoReadOnly in Options of

paragraph style (TParaInfo)

2) There are several options of protection for text, see Protection property

of text style (TFontInfo)

3) You can use LabelItem (Demos\Addins\) - non-text item looking like text.
