TDBRichView is a read-only component. It simply displays the field content.

In order to load file in db-component, you need to use TDBRichViewEdit.

But it has some specific.

Please read the Example 1 " Using viewer-style methods in DBRichViewEdit

(such as LoadRTF)" in the topic about TDBRichViewEdit.
